You may have stumbled into the startup life, but success is not an accident.
I bet you’re freaking out right about now, aren’t ya?
You didn’t exactly *plan* to be an entrepreneur.
It just sort of happened…
There you were, sitting around being awesome when --> WHAM! <-- some amazing idea popped into your head, or landed in your lap… and you just can’t shake it (no matter how hard your procrastinate or try to avoid it).
So, now you’re an entrepreneur…
And some days you’re like, "I'VE TOTALLY GOT THIS."
Things are flowing, you’re gonna be a Capital-B Billionaire on the cover of Forbes magazine.
Other days, you forget to feed yourself, notice that you put your shirt on inside out and you waste four-hours digging in your gmail archives to find the login details for that software program you just had to have a couple weeks ago and haven’t done anything with.
Is this really what success looks like? Do all founders feel like this?
How long will it be before this comes naturally!?
Sound a little bit familiar? Are you nodding your head?
Here’s the good news, and the bad news.
All of these feelings are completely normal in #startuplife.
(There's always a but, isn't there...?)
But... with the right support system, and the right mindset, you can spend more time in your zone of genius and less time hiding from your team or creatively procrastinating on that big, hairy, audacious goal.
You’ll make better decisions, trust yourself more, be able to adapt quicker and spend more time feeling confident and competent.
… an inspiring leader …a fearless champion …a present parent …a loving partner …a good friend …a trustworthy CEO …a fiscally responsible CFO …a creative CMO …a financially free business owner
Hi, I’m Kate Bagoy.
I’m a startup expert, award-winning consultant and life & business coach for new and aspiring entrepreneurs.
I landed my dream job at a Fortune 500 company right out of college, but quit after becoming so burnt out that my most meaningful relationships were with Netflix and Vodka.
After failing my first attempt at business ownership and earning my MBA, I moved to Silicon Valley to manage product design and marketing for a mobile startup. The valley wasn’t a fit, but I caught the startup bug and have been working with entrepreneurs ever since!
I’ve worked with more than 50 startups as a designer, marketer, product manager, strategist, cofounder, analyst and advisor. I’m a graduate of the Portland Seed Fund, served as a mentor at multiple accelerators and educational programs including Washington State University’s MAP program and Georgia Tech’s ATDC Bootcamp and during my career I lead projects for several Fortune 500 companies, including Nike, Ricoh, HP, Apple, BP and Microsoft. I hold a BFA in Graphic Design and a masters in Marketing and International Business.
In this program I'll work with you one-on-one to develop a vision for your life and business, and we'll a create an execution plan custom to you and your business. I'll act as your personal business advisor, mentor, strategist and trusted confident to get you through the challenges that come with entrepreneurship and we'll meet monthly to see what's working and what needs to be adjusted. You'll always know where your focus should go.
You'll have on-call access to me and my team for any questions that come up, and weekly sucess coaching to keep you focused, sane and on track to crush your goals.
Yes, being an entrepreneur takes hard-work, dedication and means making the occasional tradeoff... but should also be incredibly fun, can provide you the wealth and freedom you desire and doesn't need to steal your soul.
With the right support, you can have it all.
I look forward to watching you grow.
My personal mission is to inspire and empower people to lead lives by design, not default, and to assist in the creation of 1000 women-run companies.
Bonus Tip (but probably the most important): Have fun! This is your business - if you ain't enjoying it, get the heck out now before it grows!
